The associate director for international student recruitment is experienced in reviewing IB program credentials, and a variety of other scholastic systems from various countries. In most cases, a grade-point is derived and weighed on a four-point scale and conversion from the host school's grading system. IB candidates are granted up to one semester of academic credit for approved IB classes, if the scores and their courses are 5 or higher. If a student would like to use their IB program in lieu of the TOEFL, IELTS, ACT, SAT or ELS, he or she would have to receive marks of 5 or higher in their core courses. Predicted or final scores should be 30 points or higher.
ACT and SAT Testing – Albion College will accept an ACT composite score of 21 or above or an SAT score of 970 or above in lieu of a TOEFL score, IELTS score or ELS course 112 competition. The SAT score is a combined score of the Critical Reading and Math portions of the exam. The Critical Reading portion by itself should be no less than 450). You should request that ACT and SAT scores be sent directly to Albion College. Albion College will also allow certified copies stamped by a school counselor or administrator.
