Invest in yourself.
Now more than ever, your college education is one of the most important investments your family can make.
To help you understand the full range of financial aid opportunities available to you, Albion's financial aid team has outlined every aspect of the process, from scholarships and loans to estimating your expected family contribution (EFC).
Update on Michigan Tuition Grant and Michigan Promise Scholarship
As you are aware, the state budget was recently signed by the Governor.
Funding for the Michigan Tuition Grant was included in the appropriations. If you are eligible, we anticipate the State will confirm your award and send payment in the near future. Once we receive confirmation, your Michigan Tuition Grant funds will be credited to your student account. You may monitor the status of that payment via your e-Bill account.
Unfortunately, the budget appropriations did not include funds for the Michigan Promise Scholarship. The College recognizes the loss of this scholarship is difficult for many students and their families in these challenging economic times. If you were anticipating this award, we encourage you to utilize any remaining resources, including loans, that may be available in your financial aid award (you may view your awards on your ACIS account). The Office of Financial Aid will work with those students who would like to pursue additional loan funds to assist in covering their outstanding balance. Additionally, the College will extend the payment deadline to January, coincident with the due date for spring semester bills, for the amount the state would have paid.
Please know, we appreciate the difficult position that this delayed decision creates for many families.
