Michigan Tuition Grant/Competitive Scholarship Programs Amount: Up to $2,100 per year. Renewable.
- Available to Michigan residents who graduated from a Michigan high school.
- Dependent upon financial need and state funding.
- Students must ensure that the required paperwork is submitted to the State of Michigan.
- One-half of the award will be credited to your account each semester.
Michigan Promise Scholarship Amount: Up to $4,000.
- Available to qualified Michigan residents based on their high school Michigan Merit Exam test scores and in some cases their ACT score.
- Students must certify when they intend to use the funds and at what institution. Certification must be made prior to November 15, 2009.
- The scholarship will be paid in installment plans of $1,000 for each of the first two years of study and then a lump sum payment of $2,000 when you have completed half of the course work for a bachelor’s degree.
- Students must maintain a 2.5 grade point average to receive payments.
