Network Authentication and Validation
A network authentication and validation security system is in place to prevent "infected" computer systems such as laptops or desktops from gaining access to the network and infecting other systems. This will ensure a safe, secure and reliable network for all.
Anyone using a wired or wireless connection in residental buildings or any sorority house wireless connection, will need to authenticate to the network. Authentication is the process of verifying your access to the network by confirming your username and password and associating it with your computer.
Authentication to the Network
Enter your username and password to logon to the network. Once it has been determined that you are an authorized user, Windows users will then need to validate their personal computers before being given access.

Download the Clean Access Agent (only for the first time)*
Once your username and password have been authenticated, Windows users will be prompted to download and install the Clean Access Agent.
After the installation is completed, a Clean Access Agent icon will appear in your system tray. If the Clean Access Agent fails to install, please see the Troubleshooting section or contact the Help Desk.
* Note: Non-Windows systems will not need to download the Clean Access Agent. The validation will be conducted via a network scan. Older Windows systems (before Windows XP) will not be able to access the network or the internet.
Updating
To logon (or logoff) to the network, right click on the Clean Access Agent icon.
The Clean Access Agent will automatically validate your system configurations to ensure that you have current operating system patches and other security updates.
If the validation is successful, you will be logged onto the network.
If the validation is not successful, you will be directed to a remediation site such as Windows Updates. You need to update your system or security files at that time. Depending on the security updates, you may need to reboot your computer several times.
