Albion College's fledgling varsity men's lacrosse program pocketed its first-ever victory Tuesday night as it knocked off Southwestern (Texas) University, 15-11, in Adrian. Mitch Loney played a role in seven tallies, scoring five goals and dishing out two assists. Jamie Kehoe contributed three goals and four assists. Dan Genord added three goals.
The Albion College men's lacrosse team's match with the College of Wooster has been postponed until April 9. The Britons are scheduled to return to action March 16 when they square off against Southwestern at Adrian College.
The Albion College men's lacrosse team made its debut Saturday, falling to Carthage (Wis.) College, 16-5, at an indoor complex in Pontiac. Jamie Kehoe (Clinton Township/De La Salle) supplied the bulk of the offense, dishing out two assists in the first quarter and scoring unassisted goals in the third and fourth quarters. Dan Callus (Sterling Heights/Cousino), Nick Forbes (Ann Arbor/Gabriel Richard), and Dan Genord (Ann Arbor/Gabriel Richard) also scored goals for the Britons.
Albion returns to action Feb. 27 when it travels to northeastern Ohio for a match against the College of Wooster.
