The Albion College men's tennis team opened the season with a 9-0 loss to the nationally ranked team from Kenyon College. The Britons lost all six singles matches in straight sets, although Danny Frank, Brent Parshall, Johnny Vinson, and Dave Blake competed well.

Albion College men's tennis players Danny Frank and Chris Tapping have achieved distinction on the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the classroom during the 2008-2009 academic year. To be listed on the Academic Honor Roll, the scholar-athlete must have earned a varsity letter in a sport and maintained a 3.5 grade point average or better for the entire school year.
