The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Wednesday that the Albion College men's track & field team was one of 51 Division III programs to achieve distinction as an All-Academic squad. To be nominated, teams must carry a minimum 3.1 cumulative grade point average.
Eleven members of the Albion College men's track & field program were named to the 2008-2009 MIAA Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the entire academic year. Mike Albano, Ben Alger, Doug Bosin, Ahmed Chaudhry, Aaron Croad, Jeremy Green, Andrew Greene, Andrew Hecker, Nick Shaheen, Tyler Silverthorn, and William Ward each received the award.
To be listed on the Academic Honor Roll, the scholar-athlete must have earned a varsity letter in a sport and maintained a 3.5 grade point average or better for the entire school year.
