
Bowman gains another MIAA weekly award

The Albion-Alma match went to a penalty kick shootout after the teams played to a scoreless draw for 110 minutes. Bowman turned away three of the Scots’ five attempts in the shootout to send Albion to the semifinal round of the league tournament.
The Alma match was Bowman’s second shutout of the week. She collected one save in Albion’s 8-0 victory over Trine University on Oct. 28.
Bowman recorded four shutouts during the MIAA’s regular season to rank second among goalkeepers in the league statistics. She has nine shutouts to her credit this season.
Albion (8-4-5 overall) will travel to Adrian College on Tuesday for its semifinal match in the MIAA Tournament. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. inside the Bulldogs’ Performance Stadium.
